VAMDET is a community trust registered with the Registrar of Companies. It was registered in 2016 with the registered number MA0000660/2016. The trust was initiated by Watson Chatiza with the aim of promoting rural community development within the areas under the confines of Munyikwa chieftainship. Then sons and daugheters of Munyikwa community came up together to formulate the idea into community trust.It carries the following features:

MEMBERSHIP
The trust currently consists of 1 founder,9 trustees and 60 members who volunteered to contribute their efforts towards uplift the face of Munyikwa community. It runs through the executive board, board of trustees and a management board committee. Membership is open and free to every Munyikwa resident, or one who has benefited or supported VAMDET more than three times. Once one registers his or her intention to join VAMDET, the Board of Trustees sits and makes the resolution based on a consultative process to make that person a member. Upon joining a member pays a once off joining fee. Existing members are supposed to contribute towards the growth of the VAMDET organisation.

Our Aim
VAMDET aims rural community development in ward 15, 16 and 36 of Gutu District in Masvingo Province of Zimbabwe.
Our Objectives
Vanobva KwaMunyikwa Development Trust seeks to;
a) Help the community through building and refurbishing existing social infrastructure services such as schools, clinics and hospitals.
b) Administer the provision of safe drinking water to residents of Munyikwa community.
c) Carry out child development health and schooling welfare.
d) Help the vulnerable members in the community
e) Holistically improve the wellbeing of the residents of Munyikwa.
